I still can't grip a gun yet, so I promised my Daughter I would take her Trout fishing. It's cooler on the streams than on the sides of the fields.

Y'all be safe and have fun!

I'm hunting a 300 acre silage field that was just cut about a week ago. It's been covered in dove.

Lucky Dawg!

Happy for you.... like the looser that is happy for the guy that gets the homecoming queen.

Seriously, though, have fun!

I'm lucky myself. I got invited to this hunt by a friend of mine that I've only known for a short time. We both just happen to enjoy all things hunting and fishing.

Not many birds on the Robertson co. Lease field. Certainly not enough to sweat for. May go late evening or wait till early Monday.

Big zero here as well.  We were within earshot of several large corn fields and never saw dove one.  Heck the only thing flying were buzzards and dragonflys.  Will try again tomorrow.

The only hunt I heard about here in Murfreesboro was $20 a head to hunt so I didn't go.

There had better be birds for $20 a head!!! Edited by Wiljo05

Went to a TWRA field in Polk Co on sunday and shot a limit. there was proabably over 100 people there and after all the lead shot in the air the place will have to be condemned.

My neighbor holds a dove hunt every year. I just sat out in the yard and picked off a few they didn't get. Give'm to them, though. It's been 32 years since I've dove hunted and I could tell. Knocked feathers off of 6 birds that kept truckin' till they landed in a tree before I cranked the poly choke to modified (started with IC), then I got 4 purdy quick and had two more land where I couldn't go get them but I still took way too many long shots that missed. Need to practice my wing shootin', I do. May go out there later and try at a few more wingin' through.

Shot the 2 that flew over lol. A buddies field 65 miles south had 250+ birds killed. Trying another field here in town tomorrow

The birds were flying pretty good for us.  Our field shot 250+.  I got 10.

Wiljo5, where was your friend shooting?  Sounds real close to where I was.  I was shooting just past Boyce farms in Unionville.
