The weather has not failed again this year.  This is always the muggiest weekend of the year in Knoxville.  Temps aren't that high but it's Memphis-hot out.  The humidity sucks.  In other words dripping with sweat.

 

I can watch blinding smoke lingering in the still air on TV.

Last time I went, I walked over to it (last year or year before, I disremember),  watched it from bank next to Thompson Boling.

 

Was really a bust, after the opening salvos, the heavy air and wind direction put all the smoke down toward the surface west of the bridge, and whole rest of the show was through a glass darkly, not to mention having to breathe it all.

Had a great time, missed the rain by mins, going through Knoxville it was raining so hard we had to slow to 20 MPH.

By the time we were parked and walking it had stopped. Just enough wind to keep the smoke moving.

People were nice, LEO did a great job, Calhons was great.
