Memphis EAT and SHOOT Date Night

If any of you did not know. I have stopped posting for the Memphis EAT and SHOOT Date Night.

The reason I stopped is, RangeUSA had a accident on the large range and the target carrier assembly fell out of the ceiling so they only have use of the small side now. ALSO Uncle Sam's BBQ has pulled out of RangeUSA also, so they do not have a place searving food now.

If they get back up and running good again I will start up the Eat and Shoot GTG again.

Another "only in Memphis" moment. I bet the East Tennesseans are just laughing at us.

The restaurants that open up there don't stay very long. Why is that?

My guess would be that a Restaurant has a 1 in 10 chance of surviving the first year any way. If you couple that with the fact that they are inside of a range and most people wouldn't just come to eat I would imagine that they don't make enough to cover costs.

It is sad, but I would imagine that there are very few ranges that have full restaurants in them.

I never actually ate at one though I did have a soda or two from time to time when I would go.

It is sad that they can't keep it open but I am not surprised.

I wish Nashville or Franklin had a place like that.

I'd love to carry my wife out on a date of food and firearms.

Of course, I wouldn't want the ceiling caving in or the resturant moving out.:D

Well, although I never went to the date night (planned on it, just didn't get the chance), I thought the idea was a neat one, and I wanted to go for that....

I hope someone can open up in there, and stay open...

I hope they get the other side of the range fixed as well...

I read on thier website the other day that they plan on re-opening the restaurant again but this time it would be under the control of the range, not just some restaurant that happened to be inside the range.

My wife and I really enjoyed the date nights. The range time was worth the cost of admission and then throw in the meal on top of it made it really cool. Plus you could sit in the window and watch other couples shoot while you eat!

I spoke with some folks. The larger side is now open for classes/training/idpa...and as pj stated, they are going to re-open the resturaunt under their management...

looks like we will be back in business very shortly for the eat-n-shoots.

I'll keep checking back, the girl I'm talking to has expressed a lot of interest so it looks like we'll do what we can to make it. So if it's not an Eat-n-Shoot Night any more, what about a Shoot Night sometime in September?
