Domino’s employee Bryon Park, 54, had just returned to his vehicle after delivering a pizza to a room in a Days Inn motel in West Melbourne, Fla., about midnight Friday when Fredrick Lorenza Kelly Jr., 32, approached him with a large knife...

Kelly allegedly threatened to kill Park if he didn’t hand over money. A police official reports Park grabbed a gun he carries in his vehicle and fired once toward Kelly, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, the Times reports.

Another murder of a black youth by a white cracker. Wheres the justice?  (Wish I could be more sarcastic)

The driver will be fired. Domino's has a long history of firing those who protect themselves. That is why I don't buy anything from Domino's.

Remember the guy who used a stick to ward off several attackers and was fired?

I do not support Domino's either, and for that same reason!

Papa John's is better anyway.  But I would not be surprised if they didn't have the same policy.

Seems Papa John Drivers are better anyways.. Just Google "Papa John Driver defends himself" lots of hits (no pun intended) concerning drivers that have defended themselves..

The driver has a value of his life and Dominoes doesn't value their drivers life, but only a profit of almighty dollar.

It's better to get fired from a part-time job than it is to lose your life. I would bet a big percentage of these pizza deliverers go armed into these thug neighborhoods. Edited by ThePunisher

While I would like to protest every company that doesn't allow their drivers to defend themselves I'm afraid that wouldn't leave many options.

I imagine most corporations have this policy. I remember the Walgreens employeed who killed a guy trying to rob his pharmacy. He was fired too.

The businesses are more than likely scared of being sued if one of their employees accidentally shoots someone.  If it is against company policy to be armed they are off the hook.  Cannot even afford a DADT type of non-policy.  Personally, I would carry as one can always find a low paying job.

A new job is much easier to come by than a new life. Shoot first and worry about employment later.
