Yeah, that almost happened to me too..and I put my request for the days off in back in January.  I've had the hotel room booked since 2 days after last year's DragonCon.

Would be fun but can't make it. GMX (geek media expo) is in November, going to try and go. I've went to it a couple times before but I know its nothing like ComicCon or DragonCon.
