Can't go wrong with that. Grats!

It was a no brainer. I was going to get one and the 870 was only $4 more than a Mossberg.

Hope to get some slugs and take it to Coal Creek Friday. Taking Phantoms indoor handgun class on Sat. Taking his HD shotgun class in Oct.

Now I'll have to get accessories.

Well, I went low ball...

That's a $5 ammo boot, a $10 "universal mount" holding a LED flashlight from Sam's.

I need to shoot it some to see if the light rig survives recoil. I'd say it will, if it stays ON ... at worst, the FIRST shot will be illuminated! :)

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind...

I don't understand zactly where the rail would attach, though, since already have extension tube on it.

Unless you mean getting a different fore end of some type.

Just screw it in the plastic using small screws.

Or there is this http://cgi.ebay.com/ProMag-PM152-Remington-870-Picatinny-Tri-Rail-Fore-End_W0QQitemZ320264314759QQihZ011QQcategoryZ73954QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

I have one similar to that on my Moss with a light, and forward pistol grip

Edit: this is what I mean when on the rail http://cgi.ebay.com/G36C-Picatinny-RIS-20mm-Rail-2x-Long-M054_W0QQitemZ350088544866QQihZ022QQcategoryZ36258QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

7yds...did you try it out to 15? What were your impressions of her?

Love her, my first light disintegrated with the first shot. That's what I get for going cheap. Spent $17 for a Coleman at Wally World and tried her again today. No problems.

Ever thought about the Surefire Tactical Forend/Light combo? I just so happen to have one that's almost brand new listed in the Trading Post. I guarantee you that one will not "disintegrate". :dirty:
