Exactly! Classic Arms in Memphis had a bunch of the same stuff last week, but it was priced at $13.95/box of 100. That's still about 50 to 75% higher than it used to be and about twice what you used to be able to get it for at Walmart. I'm still not buying at those prices.

Owensboro Kentucky, actually just a little southwest of the city proper.  If you need ammo or any long gun its worth the drive.  They will also ship guns to your FFL with over the phone payment.  They will ship cases of ammo for $35, but no small boxes are eligible for shipping, cases only.

If I ever trip into a very large sum of money, I will be opening a Whittaker's 2 in the middle Tennessee area.

They key to Whittakers is they have some special buying power. I don't know how per se, but it's impressive.

Their shop is pretty small really, but it's jammed with stuff

Whittaker's seems to have good prices on everything, guns and ammo. I have a buddy that lives in Kentucky and he says there usually is the opening line each day though. Sales tax is lower too.
