One thing I remember in Nashville

Not saying I was proud of this but I believe I was in the same room as John J. Deberry a legislator(D) for Memphis.  No, I didn't speak with him but watch a lovely young(Male) couple from CA arguing with him about Gay Rights(seems they had just got married in CA) in a hotel Bar(Double Tree) of all places about 1 in the morning.

I can't be 100 percent sure it was John J. Deberry, just going on the bits and pieces I picked up.

I know the man I believe he was, was telling a few people he was a Legislator from Memphis.  Now, it may have or may not have been. Heck it could have been a person pretending to be one for attention for all I knew.

In my state, when He said something about being a Legislator from Memphis, I wanted to say, something along the lines of don't tell anyone or I wouldn't be proud of that.  But I bit my tongue.

I just had to search to see who it might have been.

Over all I had a pretty good trip to Nashville.  Spent time in several places on Broadway. Drunk beer in each of them.  Late at night when things got to crowded we crashed the bar at the Double Tree.  BTW, that is not the hotel we were staying at.

It just happened to be close enough.  After we got in, they started checking people coming in to see if they had room cards. Of Course we didn't but was already in.
