Treasure Trove Of 00 Buck!!!

Ever find something you had stashed away and forgotten about? Great feeling, huh? Yesterday, I was cleaning / re-organizing my gun-stuff room when I found a footlocker half full of Federal 12 Ga 00 buck - much in full cartons, but all still in neat 5 round boxes! It made me very happy. Now if I could only find a couple of cases of slugs. I'm always running low on slugs.

I've been excited to find 00 buck on the store shelves in 25 rd boxes for under $15 at my local Academy! I've never heard of Spartan (some European stuff again) but I got a few boxes to try out... hoping I get a chance to run them back to back with Winchester and Remington stuff this weekend to see if it's any good. If it is, I'm going to stock up on that stuff and save my few hundred rounds of the good stuff for later!

Oh yea, about a year ago I found 14 100rd boxes full of .40 reloads that I had forgotten about in 2 moves!
That was a reason to celebrate for sure! I'm about halfway through 'em now, and gearing up for another protracted loading session in the near future to replenish a few calibers.

It wasn't ammo but about 2 weeks ago I was digging through the hall closet that is underneath the stairs, I got all the way to the back underneath the stair landing (about 24" from floor to the under side of the stairs) and found one of the knee high ammo cans of .223/5.56 brass. They only sad part is that it wasn't loaded like y'alls were.

Double ought buck is on sale for $17.99 box/25 at Academy in Cool Springs.  Cheapest I've seen it in awhile.  Estate brand.
