jury summons

hey all either me or my dad got a jury summons in the mail recently but im not sure if its me or my dad as we both have the same name but he is the II and im III but the letter didnt have either of those on there, does anyone know who i can call to find out? cause i will not be able to do it as i will be traveling from september 2013 to march 2014 for work, so i will be working during the month when its supposed to happen (which is october)

Call the court clerk responsible for sending it to you.

thnaks all i called and found out it is for me, so im going to send in some paper work and get it to where i have a excuse to not do it

 

 

That will be interesting I bet, trying to get excused before hand due to being away during said time.  Keep Copies of everything.

yea. I postponed one, and after that I HAD to go to the court the next time. You need your employer to write a note on your behalf. That works, I saw it happen.

They won't allow me to serve on any juries anymore.

Seems they don't like constant high-fiving & shouts of boooooyaahhh! Interupting the court proceedings *shrug*.

When I was still FedEx Ground guy, had to personally go by court office in Knox to get excused, tried to do it by phone or mail, they said no way. Went by soon as they opened at eight, made me late for the day's run.
