Pre WW2 Speed Safety Clamshell holsters

Howdy , below are two picture of Pre WW2 Speed Safety Clamshell holsters [ not Safety Speed ] , the one on the left is for 6 or 6 1/2 inch N- frame and the one on right is for a 5 inch N-frame , were n frame revolver popular in the pre WW2 days.

Hi Dan, the ole model 1917 was i am interested in what n frame revolvers a police would carry in one of these old clamshell holster in that per ww2 era , many thanks rogue

The .357 Magnum and .38-44 HD were popular as well as the .44 Special Hand Ejector models all N frames as well.
