Then just wait till you have a wheel gun lock up, then your mind will really be messed up, You won't have anywhere to turn. :death:

You are right about that! I had a S&W Model 66 lock up on me a few times during a qualification. The cylinder release latch kept working it's way out of battery, causing the action lock up. The trigger would not move. No way to correct the problem, so I had to qualify another time with a new gun.

At least with a semi-auto, you can easily clear the vast majority of jams and get back into action. If it happens with a revolver, you're fooked. I'll take a pistol over a revolver any day.

Now my question is; has this happened to anyone? and if it were to happen to you, would you be able to trust the gun?

btw the gun is a kahr cw40, and the bullets I was shooting are Remington UMC .40

In my opinion, your problem is ammo related, and not the fault of the gun. As others have stated, I bet the round of ammo is not in spec. Remington UMC ammo has never left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

I found out it was neither the ammo or the gun its self. Both of the springs in the mags, aren't right. they are pushing the bullet too far forward, therefore its not sitting right in the gun. Dont know what the correct names and such, but thats my non tech description. So i ordered 2 more mags, and will see how that helps next week.

Had it happen, with Model 19 S&W. It was the ejector rod working loose. Yes a revolver can break too. But, with judicious attention to said part and periodic maintenance to others I have never had a repeat. Autos also can be carefully maintained but you are at the mercy of your ammo. I just feel a little more comfort zone with revolver, but that is just me. Everybody gotta find their own comfort zone.
