Wow... how many people were working on the new Hero Gear site for the past year anyway? I know I was tasked with it for a while, then found out that EasilyObsessed was asked to do it also. Now Gutterboy?

Anyway, I'm glad to see it finally coming together. Wordpress should do the trick but I'd still look at Joomla if you want to work in more customizations.

Your heart was in the right place, but work and life got in the way of your doing anything. I couldnt afford to wait another 6 months.

Easily was interviewed for the gig, but he has a busy schedule as well, which meant he wasnt able to produce in the timeframe needed.

In the end, I found a local webgeek that could set up a simple site powered by WP which allows me to make on the fly changes without getting all geek-a-fied with code and other skills way beyond my capabilities.

Its not exactly what I want, but its miles ahead of where we were at, and with the shopping cart being only weeks away, I feel good about the project.

Didn't mean to sound bitchy... really wasn't. I actually laughed and thought about projects I've worked on before for my employer where several of us found out that we were all working on the same thing or facets of it, but never knew beforehand.

Anyway, it's a step in the right direction for sure. Wordpress will make it a lot easier for you to make updates without waiting on webgeeks to make time for you.

Negatives for me:

1. Arrogance

2. To much discussion between employees and no attention to the customer

3. Made to feel as if I am not welcome

4. Lack of knowledge / making stuff up

5. Indoor range cost (Would like to see $10 per 2 hour session)

Positives:

1. Selection around town is great

2. Some places realize the importance of customer service and make me want to visit their store

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's kids that have not been taught or made to respect others and their property. I'm about a half of a step away from pissing off these non-parenting stupified retards in every way that I possibly can.

I agree with the above. A shop (south Nashville-ish) I buy the majority of my ammo from and accessories dealed it for me by taking care of a broke extractor (extractor, spring, pin - all fell out onto the hood of the truck) off of the bolt of a new long gun (six shots through it, every one a FTE) by sending it into the factory (back in two weeks) without hesitation, volunteered to do that for me ($0), and by re-bore sighting multiple times without question ($0). Not the largest selection in hand guns, but the customer service hasn't been beat to date.
