After much web surfing and going back and forth I finally ordered the Gerber Propel Auto. I was torn because the black one (the one I wanted) comes with 420HC, while the desert tan "Down Range" version comes with S30V. I ended up going with the black 420HC version, which will suffice I'm sure. Either way I am chomping at the bit for it to get here. I was happy to see a good American made auto from Gerber on the market. Has anyone had any experience with it so far? I was wanting a tanto serrated and just happened upon it.

I have the exact one you ordered and it has been a fantastic knife.  Frankly it has a better auto deployment than my Benchmades.  The 420HC on mine has been great.  It holds an edge for quite some time and takes one easily.

Finally got it! It seems pretty solid. Nice action with not too much recoil on the deployment. I like the G10...very grippy. It has the option of right hand tip up/down, and left hand tip up. I chose right hand tip down b/c it exposes the least amount of knife in your pocket. Very pleased so far.
