Anyone running Ares Gear Ranger Belt and Raven Phantom Holster?

If so what size belt loops work for that. I have the belt and just got the holster and just realized that the standard belt loops don't work. Will the 1.75" belt loops work or do I need to look at some of there other belt loops?

I'm using the pancake loops in 1.5 for my 1.5 Ares and it works.

If I recall, the standard loops on my Raven were a bit tight but still worked.

Standard 1.5 loops work fine on all of my Raven holsters with the Ares Ranger.  They're tight, but the platform doesn't move.  At all.

How did you all get them to work? I can't get the metal part through the loop.

One half of the cobra buckle is meant to be unthreaded from the belt so you can get it through normal belt loops.

Yeah I figured it out last night. I tell you what that setup is rock solid! I saw your reviews on it a while back and finally bit the bullet and I am so glad I did. I am running a full size M&P which isn't the heaviest gun but it makes it really nice to carry around. I can't wait until this weekend to carry it around all day. The draw from this holster is so nice and with the stiffness of the ranger belt it is rock solid and comes out so nice.

For anyone else wanting the stiffest belt out there look at the Ares Gear Ranger Belt.

For anyone else wanting the best kydex holster on the market look at the Raven Concealment Phantom Holster.

And for anyone wanting the best holster/best system try both!

Great combination.  You won't be disappointed.

Ever wonder why Ares makes an "enhanced" ranger belt?  I'm trying to figure out how you can make one even more stiff than the standard model...

I have the Ares ranger enhanced, and I am very happy with it.
I've tried a similar belt from a different manufacture but it was not quite stiff enough for me.

I think it comes down to personal preference.

Regardless, a combination of a good belt and a good holster makes a huge difference. Edited by vinstang67

I also run the ranger enhanced with a raven. It can be a pain to thread the belt through because it's so stiff, but once it's on it does not move. I really like the combo and it really helps if you are running extra mags and other gear but don't want to wear a full duty belt (LEOs).

Ares Gear is running 15% off til midnight tonight.  Im thinking about trying out their Aeges belt.  I have the enhanced ranger with the PAL system and run a RCS holster for my G17.  Its stiff..very stiff and holds its shape even if I'm running heavier loads on the belt, but due to the stiffness it is not the most comfortable to wear.
