Tactical Rifle Match on Aug 31 at GRGC in Bowling Green KY

Alright John, you asked for it.  On the stage where there where three targets and four shooting positions( 2 through the ports and each side of the barricade) it was still a little unclear the exact procedure. I read it to mean you could not engage any target twice in a row, but others read it another way, and the others way is the way we shot it.  I love stages that are a little complicated and you have to think.

I know it is a lot of work putting matches on.  Thank you!!

On stages that are complicated like that, I would like to see a very detailed description. Thanks again, it was a great match.

I am really looking forward to the night match.  It is the second-most fun you can have in the dark.

I agree, that stage was very confusing and the discription was poorly written. After finally watching several people attempt to shoot it, I finally figured it out. Of course by the time I shot it, my brain was well done. I'll pass your comments along to the party responsible for that stage.

The other stage that concerned me was stage 2 with the tunnel, even though it was fun. The SO lost control of the shooter while he was in the tunnel. Not a good idea.

Of course the Wilson County Boys would like a "Heavy Metal" division in future matches.  :bat:

My suggestion for the stages is to use only scenario based COFs.  You could just re-use stages that worked well in earlier IDPA matches.  Just add a couple of long shots and you are set.

The stages where we had to count the shots-and the order of the shots-and the targets that were shot-and in what order were the shots-and the location of the shots-and from which position were the shots......., those are just mind games that don't do much for any tactical practice that you should be really trying to achieve in these sort of matches.

Besides, I'm a liberal arts major and all of that counting hurts my head.
