I hope to see you there John, I just have to get some of this poop off my plate.

10 round mags right?

I think you have a brand new little poop maker. The poop will never be off the plate!

20 rounds max in the rifle," IDPA like" rules (scoring, use of cover, etc.)

Hope to see you there. See if your bro can get his plate clear for a day.

The Wilson County Boys will be Back.......

And this time we're not bringing our Poodle Shooters......

it looks like the weather will not be a issue, so god willing we will be there.

Question, with the 20 round limit can we use your new 40 round mags and have it count as 2 20 rounders? :)

Bigger is better. I'm going to bring an old school missle launcher too. Watch out for the bulldog!

My guess is its not this time. I'm glad we tested it even though we knew what the result would be. :)

Not this time. I think Dan has hid it away, and relagated it to handguns only.

My brother and I should  be there, looking forward to it!

Outstanding! About time your bro got some trigger time.

See you there.

The Wilson County Boys had a great time running their Main Battle Rifles (M14s).

I have to admit that we did not consider the competitive dis-advantage we would be up against in the shoot-house stage while engaging the dual steel swingers that were setup for the light and soft tapping of 55g 5.56mm.  The shack-down from our 147 grains of Full-Metal-Jacket,God-Of-War 7.62mm ammo created such a shock wave of impact on the steel that the second plate became a twirling, spinning and blurred mass of metal until it too has hammered by massive display of superior down-range muzzle velocity!  :tough:

It was Fun!

Time to reload our magazines........

It's not always about competition, sometimes it's about fun!

My Garand made short work of the steel at the shoot house using the scout scope, but my red dot let me down, and reloads from 8 round enbloc clips added lots of time.

Had to go to my M1 carbine back-up gun when I discovered I couldn't hit paper with the red dot on the Garand.

As we were doing our walk-through of the shoot house my cousin Darren looked down and picked up a fired case and said, "Look HXP 30.06...., John had already shot this stage!"

Excellent match, even though it was hot as blazes! Dan, will post scores soon.

Thanks to the all the shooters. Everyone seemed to jump in and help with set-up, tear-down, pasting, resetting, etc.

A bunch of new faces from Knob Creek and Kentukiana, and Clarksville. Thanks for making that long drive.

Thanks Chris S for scoring, Denny and I were pretty wasted by the 3'rd stage. Really appreciate the help.

I welcome any feedback you guys have, good and bad. If you have any suggestions that you think would help us improve things for the near term or next year, I'd love to hear them.

Green River is a sanctioned IDPA club, so all of our matches use IDPA scoring, and "IDPA like" targets and rules. I know this clashes with those USPSA shooters, but untill we can find a "volunteer" to run USPSA matches here, that's the way it is.

We have 3 more matches before the end of the year.  We will resume matches in March 2014.

Sept. 28'th will be a "BUG" ( Back up Gun) match, October 26'th will be our annual Night match, and November 23'rd will be a regular IDPA match.
