A VG or mint conditioned S&W model 30 is worth more than a new LCP. A rode hard model 30 is worth a lot less though. That model 30 is a somewhat large gun in a fairly weak caliber for a carry gun. Three years ago there was a model 30 3" in rough condition for sale at GT's for $225. They had it for a long time, I came real close to buying it.

Okay I was a little harsh on Pocket pistols they are okay for what they are but no fun at the range. I have XD sub. And p99 to carry and they are all kinds of fun to shoot. I don't hate any thing that goes bang.

I was just messing. You're right in saying they aren't as fun at the range, but I'd still keep the LCP. Probably one of the better, if not best, pocket pistols out there.

Yeah I decided to wait for another trade. I wasnt really looking for revolver just something bigger. Thanks for the help once again guys. And I do agree that the lcp is the best. Just not for me.

LCP is far from the best unless you are talking value for your money, but is still an excellent pistol especially for a.380acp.

Between lcp, TCP, bodyguard the lcp wins my vote TCP was 2nd. Buy my preferred Pocket carry would be 38 j frame. That would be my vote on best. Of course I haven't got my hands on a xds either.

My first .380 ( AMT) was an unreliable piece of junk, but my LCP has been a nice, reliable pistol.  I carry it as a backup, and at other times when I might otherwise be unarmed.

We agree. Best value for the money. Not the "best of the best" by any means.

The TCP has a really nice trigger, and that's coming from a guy who summer-carries a Kahr PM9.  As I've said before elsewhere, if the PT709 had the trigger of the TCP, there would be no need whatsoever for anybody to buy a Kahr 9mm.  Get on it, Taurus.
