Stopped in the local Walmart this morning and happened to pass the ammo case, stopped to look not expecting to see anything. Ammo people were asking me for Saturday, and ammo I had been looking for but could not find (Even sold out online) was on the shelves.

I am sure there was plenty of 30-30 around but I havent been able to catch it either at Walmart or Academy. This morning they had two stacks, one of Winchester and one Federal, both 17.99. Ammo that a lot of people asked for Saturday was also in stock, .40 S&W.

I picked up three boxes of 9mm at Walmart, last Friday at 9:00. Ended up back at the same Walmart later that afternoon and they still had some on the shelves. They had mini mags that morning as well.

Went to wal mart in winchester had couple thousand round boxes of 22lr a couple hundred round boxes of 380 and 45. Bought my whole two box limit. Dunhams had some ammo as well in Tullahoma but wasn't cheap. They have started selling handguns. High prices as well

travr6, if you are on facebook, try Whittaker Guns.

They are across the border in KY, and get more ammo in that anyone around.  22LR is a regular occurance there.  Prices are ok, not great, not awful.

Good luck!

They just had a sale on SAturday where they were selling buckets of 22lr for a pretty reasonable price.

They are in Owensboro though

Pointless to drive 4 hours for bullets.

One of the best gun shops around though.

I am so glad I cast and reload. All the calibers I cast for cost less than 22lr to load.

I looked into it and was really wanting to go there, but it seems lead is not that easy to find. Wheel weights are moving to something other than lead I've been told, but then, maybe I've just not found the right place to buy it yet. Also, the equipment to get started is pretty expensive it seems to.  At least to me it was.
