im looking to buy some .276 pedersen does any one know where i can get some ...

Do you have a Garand prototype or something cause I'm pretty sure that and the Pedersen rifle was the only thing ever chambered in it.  Very rare stuff.

Talk about mandatory handloading! I had never even heard of the cartidge prior to this thread.

Can you make the brass from something else? .30-06? .308?

If you owned the only model of firearm I'm aware of chambered in this cartridge, you wouldn't want to fire it. I expect he's either got an ammunition collection, or else looking for some to display with his 1903 conversion if he's very lucky.

There was an article in American Rifleman a year or so ago where the author made a very strong argument that it should have won out over the 30-06 as The US's cartridge of choice for machine gun in WW2. Much greater reliability could be gained from it due to its graceful taper, he argued.

There are quite a few interesting cartridges on the link posted. Even some electronic primer and paper cartridges. Maybe I'm just too young to remember that stuff.
