Best (cost effective) hotel to stay two nights in Nashville?

Recommended Posts

For that immediate area, try either Holiday Inn Express or Hyatt Place. At either location, you will be close to the Opryland Hotel and the Mall.

This. I still say WestEnd/Vandy is a much better location. Opryland is a restaurant and activity wasteland. Besides the mall, the Opry, and the gardens inside the hotel, there's not much there.

$126/night at the Opryland hotel is a good rate. Pack some Pop-Tarts or you'll be right back to your original price once you pay for breakfast in that place.

The Opryland Resort Hotel is worth the experience once, but after that I'd pass. Unless they have changed policies, their swimming pools close at a ridiculously early time...not good for a family. The wait time to check in is also like being in line at Disney World for the privilege to get on a popular ride. The resort is beautiful, and I love walking around the indoor gardens, but I stay at Fairfields and Hamptons most of the time these days and go visit the Resort if I feel like strolling around the gardens.
