Holster for Glock M30 SF

A good buddy of mine liked my Model 30 so much he went and bought himself one. When he went to the Store, they handed him both models....the Model 30 and the Model 30SF. Well he feel in love with the Slim Frame model. But he can not find a holster that will fit it.

I tried it in my fobus paddle holster and it would not fit.....we are thinking it is due to the rail. The rail squares off where mine doesn't have a rail it is rounded on the end of the frame.

Anybody have any suggestions?

he is thinking about a IWB small of the back holster.

I had a customer come in yesterday and tried to fit his new SF30 into an Uncle Mike's kydex holster, Size 25. Tried it in at least two just to make sure it wasn't an abnormality or a mis-packaged holster.

Took both of us to get it back out. Tried it in a Fobus and I honestly thought I was going to have to bandsaw the holster to get the gun out.

From what I can tell from a visual inspection is that they have added a tad more material to the front "dust cover" area causing them to bind in the 'pre-rail' designed kydex holsters. They'll work in Galco leather for the G30 as well as Bianchi leather.

So my recomendation would be to go for leather or maybe call up Bladetech or Comptach and see if they're molding their holsters to the new frame geometry.

If he likes the kydex, I'd highly recommend RM Holsters, I have a low rider and used to swear I'd never wear a kydex........

I also have a comp-tac (forget which one, but it's IWB) and much perfer the Lowrider by rmholsters.....
