What a freaking idiot. Body armor and a long gun walking in a crowded downtown area, it's a wonder sombody didn't take him for an active shooter and shot him. If something like that would have happened to that clown it would have been a justifable shooting. I'll argue for my 2nd.Amendment rights all day long but there's something mentally wrong with Embody, he's addicted to drama and confrontation and that's probably the least of his problems. If he gets charged with a suppressor and doesn't have a FFL, i'll assume that will be a felony and an end to all his 2nd Amendment rights. Now I disagree with the law on suppressors but i'm sure not going to rally for Embody's defense. Dude has a serious missfire in his brain.

I think he does have a FFL. Seems like I saw his ads online somewhere selling guns commercially. Course themffl could go the way his HCP went, lol.

Why would you need an FFL for a silencer?

I think he needs some kind of mental evaluation. I'll be the first to tell a non gun owner to chill out if they are freaking out about someone with a handgun on their side but even I would be somewhat concerned and suspious if someone was walking down the street with an AR(as reported by the news) and body armor(as reported by the news). Could just be a tactical vest but the average person doesn't know that, he may champion his right to walk down the street like that but he's a class A  A-hole for terrifying people who doesn't deserve to be.

Well another story said he had the AR wrapped in plastic and electrical tape, I guess that's why the responding officers didn't take him down.

OH NOES he's gotz a gunz! Gets him!

*shrug* I will neither support nor besmirch him, I am guessing that he intends to use the charges as "standing" inorder to dispute the legislation's Constitutionality through the court system.

At least that is what I hope his intentions were/are.

Guess the question is WHY shouldn't a law abiding citizen be able to walk about peaceably with an AR and wearing body armor?

Welp, the 2nd Amendment was supposed to allow "We the People" to do exactly that, for defense of ourselves, our country & our liberties.

But like the rest of our Constitutional protections it has been so corrupted in the name of "public safety" that we are no longer allowed to bear the arms that would allow us to protect ourselves, our country or our liberties, the term "ironic" doesn't even begin to describe it IMHO.

Yep, if that is the logic then the first amendment gives me the right to walk to a play ground and scream "I have a bomb."

Welp "placating the fear-mongers" has been a losing battle for us, our 2nd Amendment has been & will continue to be constantly under-seige, no matter how compliant we've been with each and every piece of legislation which strips our rights away from us, and they will not stop until "We the People" have been completely disarmed or there is open rebellion against the attempt.

You know this, I know this, everyone knows this.

The question is how can we (as law-abiding firearm owners) peacefully stop &/or even reverse all of this anti-2nd propaganda & resulting unConstitutional gun-banning legislation before it becomes another contest of arms?

Are peaceful armed protests the solution? I personally do not believe provoking the opposition with a force of arms would be productive, protesters holding signs (not firearms), massive letter-writing campaigns, signing petitions, etc are the proper way to do it, however the effectiveness of these traditional methods has so far been questionable, after Sandyhook the anti's still made gains in many states & localities, even if they were unsuccessful at the national level.

I'd like to find a peaceful, political revolution/resolution, one that restores the 2nd Amendment as well as the rest of our Constitutional protections & rights, however I do not know if this is even possible at this point, the left is damned & determined to finish "fundamentally transforming" the USA into the USSA.

Weather I have a right to do something or not, common sense and common courtesy to my fellow citizens wont allow me to shoulder my MAK-90 wearing body armor or a tactical vest and walk down the street in downtown Nashville. Only a fraction of a fraction of .00001% of the population of the USA knows who I am, if i'm a nice decent man who intends no harm to them or if i'm some unstable disturbed psycho planning on shooting them. It's understandable to me with all the news about psycho shooters killing innocent people that people would be concerned, even scared seeing someone walking down the street with whatever firearm he had, some news outlets say an AR-15 and the radio said an AK-47, wearing what looks to them to be body armor. He could be within his rights but it's still a stupid and morally wrong thing to do to some people and to us who value our Constitutional rights because he's certainly not improving overall opinions people have about gun owners.

Embody just thinks about himself and the attention he gets, the more fuel he can throw on a fire the more he gets off on it. Maybe the "incident" was much to do about nothing to us but most people form their opinions from what they hear from the media and have little or no knowledge of firearms and gun owners in general. Embody is a detriment to gun owners and if I talk to a non-gun owner i'll tell them what a jerk I think he is.

There might come a day when we walk out in the streets shouldering our long guns for protest and defense but it hasn't got to that point yet, when or if that day comes not only will we be armed with our tactical weapons we will probably be using them. I hope that day never comes but I believe it's a possibility. I believe getting loud and vocal and telling some of the more staunch socialist liberals to go fornicate with themselves but there's still a line not to cross right now. I would prefer to have those who are decent people who are lacking in knowledge about gun owners view me as a decent law abiding person, i've converted a couple of fence sitters in my lifetime, Embody probably makes some fence sitters swing to the anti-side.

Explain difference between OC and what he did as far as stirring folks up.  Would it have been ok if he wore body armor and OC'd a 1911?

Seems pretty obvious to me.

It was clearly a stunt to gain attention, to freak out people and to try to put LEO's in a "trick bag"

Stunt or not and/or an attempt to put the LEO's in a 'trick bag' the question is to explain the difference between OC and what he did as far as stirring folks up.  Would it have been ok if he wore body armor and OC'd a 1911?

It was a rifle. OC with a rifle is going to raise eyebrows. It probably would not have gathered the attention he obviously wanted, or he would have tried it with a pistol AGAIN. It became old hat after Radnor and... crap, where was the Navy pistol in the hand stunt? Are you just being obtuse for sport?

Some time ago, he pulled a traffic light stunt between Hendersonville and Gallatin. Traffic law says that at a non-functioning signal, you are supposed to come to a complete stop. There was a signal that wasn't just not functioning, but was still bagged and not ready for use. Dorkenstein goes back and forth on Gallatin Rd, stopping at this "signal" every time, disrupting traffic flow, until an officer finally shows up. Of course, he cites statute and all about how what he's doing is correct according to law. Couple days later, the signal was taken down.

This asshat has had ALL the benefit of the doubt anyone should get in a lifetime. Stop trying to make excuses for someone who's intent is obvious. He wants media attention and lawsuit payoffs, plain and simple. He has no interest in furthering ANY rights of any kind. He IS a "flaming douchetard." (MAN, I LOVE that phrase!!!)

I am very pro-Second Amendment and I carry with a HCP. But I question the tactics some posters seem to endorse.

" Let's go out and scare the hell out of those woosies who outnumber us and are on the edge of voting to  pass anti-gun legislation."

That seems to me to be right up there with poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick.

Can anyone explain how he has avoided getting shot yet?

I don't wish him to be shot and i'm not saying he deserves to get shot, but if he keeps playing these dangerous games and does get shot someday, he certainly asked for it.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
