So... .45 is expensive even though i reload for it. At about $17\100 its still a bit much.

I've been eyeing Kimber's .22 conversion for a little bit and have read nothing short of good reviews about it. I'll probably be slapping it on my Operator. Should fit but, if it doesnt, i can always return it.

Question is, do any of you own one of these? How do you like it?

I'm looking at one for not only cost savings but to better improve my accuracy with a 1911.

Yeah well.... something about a 9mm in a 1911 platform just doesnt seem right. I have too many 9mm's. :-P

I like my 1911's to be chambered in "Pain Train."

Personally for that money I would buy a Browning or Ruger 22lr pistol, I had one of these 22 conversions for a brief period, like you I thought it would help my skills with the 1911, with the NO recoil factor I found it just as easy to dry fire my pistols to get the same skills,

Just my 2 cents :P

You dont carry it do you? :P

Your not like that bounty hunter guy that came into Rabbis shop...bought a Glock 20...loaded it... hostered it...and proceed to carry it not knowing if it would function..are you? :P

I cant wait for Fallout 3 either. *drool*

*edit - There ya go carpet... my avatar is somewhat like yours now.

Yup, .45 is past getting expensive, its there.

When my current stockage of powder/primer/bullet and loaded factory ammo runs out...I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Pay the going rate I guess.

What about Wolf in a 1911? yeah or nay? its only $0.24 a shot by the caseload.....would the steel cases be hard on the gun?

I use it in mine almost exclusively.
