1911 .22 Conversion Kits

So... .45 is expensive even though i reload for it. At about $17\100 its still a bit much.

I've been eyeing Kimber's .22 conversion for a little bit and have read nothing short of good reviews about it. I'll probably be slapping it on my Operator. Should fit but, if it doesnt, i can always return it.

Question is, do any of you own one of these? How do you like it?

I'm looking at one for not only cost savings but to better improve my accuracy with a 1911.

Yeah well.... something about a 9mm in a 1911 platform just doesnt seem right. I have too many 9mm's. :-P

I like my 1911's to be chambered in "Pain Train."

Personally for that money I would buy a Browning or Ruger 22lr pistol, I had one of these 22 conversions for a brief period, like you I thought it would help my skills with the 1911, with the NO recoil factor I found it just as easy to dry fire my pistols to get the same skills,

hahaha...no I do carry the DW 1911 but not the EMP...havent even got to test her out yet. Yes Fallout is good...my gf's gonna hate me or at least that game....nice Avatar ;-D

Yup, .45 is past getting expensive, its there.

When my current stockage of powder/primer/bullet and loaded factory ammo runs out...I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Pay the going rate I guess.

Uh... buy more powder, primers, and bullets? I reload .45 for about half of what it costs to purchase mainstream swirl. Zero brand bullets are the best things goin. 230 gr FMJ $117/1000 free shipping for orders over 1000.
