I understand them completely. In the summertime, it's hot as hell to be wrapped up in a jacket, pants, gloves, and a full-face helmet. I understand the desire to not sweat one's ass off. But they're just not thinking ahead IMO. Yeah, it's hot out there. But the absolute minimum I'll ride with is boots, jeans, jacket, gloves, and of course the helmet. I have a pair of overpants as well, and I probably should get in the habit of wearing them more often.

Yes, you should. They make this neato stuff called mesh gear. Wonderful when it gets warm. :koolaid: I wear my all year adding my electric liner when it gets cold.

I normally wear a a non-DOT helmet and have rode in a Tank Top or Sleeveless shirt....and on the rare occasion shorts.

The way I see it, it is my skin grafts or funeral so no one else need worry about it.

If you could convince the insurance company to not raise my rates because of people who choose to not wear good gear, sure, but, you can't, so I do.

Yes, I know it is stupid, but then that is what motorcycles are for. Fun-fun-fun!

Motorcycles are for enjoying travel and getting out of a cage. It's a rare day my bike sits. My bike has sat more during the last 6 months than the previous 3 years combined.
