This is that thing...you know.....the Left said would not happen with a National Firearms Registry.  So a NFR at the State level isnt happening either. This is fake. Cant be real, cause the Libs said so...is this a reality show or sumpin?

perhaps I'm missing something here. the question doesn't seem to be the purchase but rather are the people legally allowed to own the firearms now. if the police ask to come in and the people allow them to do so I see no problem. if people should not have firearms due to criminal activity , mental health issues, ect. I see no issue here.

Exactly, I see these type of post all the time and not once are they taking the guns from people LEGALLY allowed to own guns. If you can't legally own a gun I have no problem from taking your guns away. You have obviously done something wrong to get you on the list of people not able to own guns.

The point seems to be- if they want to search without probable cause, then refusing the search, in their mind, gives them probable cause. In practice it is no different than not having any right to refuse unreasonable search/seizure at all.

Yep they did say that, but they are like Muslims. its ok to lie to infidels (the enemy) if it's "for the cause". We are looked on as the enemy by the Liberal Dweebs.

For those who would rather read this as text, the full transcript can be read here:

The title of this thread is misleading.  It should read "California takes back legally purchased guns from those who are no longer legal to own them.  Namely, criminals and the mentally ill."  But that's not nearly as exciting to read.

Oh, really?  You might want to reconsider that line of thinking.

It seems that Commiefornia eventually returned the husband's firearms but not the ammo they stole 'confiscated'.  Not yet, anyhow.

Maybe others don't see a problem with such 'programs' being used to harass legal firearms owners and steal legally owned firearms/ammo but I do.  See, the trouble with the attitude that, "Well, if they can no longer legally own guns then I don't see the problem," is that all of us are only one, stupid new law (or even a misuse of current law) away from no longer being able to legally own firearms.  I, personally, see that as a problem.
