Sean, A nice old pistol you have there. I strongly recomend that due to its age and collector value,(and sentamental value) That you doent shoot it. If somthing were to happin to it while it was being shot,it would destroy its value. I would have it profesonaly appraised by someone with no purchasing interest in it. Somthing to pass down in your family to your sons. Enjoy it. bugman 9212

We've been told thats its worth about $600. but like I said, I dont have it, my older brother does. So hes in control of it. he knows not tosell it though. The amount of money its worth does not mean anything to us. Its more of a setimental thing.

UHHHH Sean...

600 dollars? is that guy NUTS?

I know a collector right now that would give anywhere between 2500 and 3000 for it..as is.

If it were me, I would NOT shoot it anymore, I would clean it as completely as possible, put cosmoline on it and then store that sucker somewhere safe!

but thats just me.

Really? Well thats what he was offered, plus there was a site tht my other brother was on that said they only go for $500-600. Ill have to find it.

Hmmm... I think that you should sell the gun to me for $600, so that you can get you money out of it. I'll dispose of it properly :D

Seriously... Hang on to that pistol!!! Don't modify it in any way, don't have it overhauled... just have it cleaned, appraised, and prepped for storage.

Get yourself a safe-deposit box. That sucker will only go up in value.

Nice piece!! I LOVE Walthers!

My grandfather brought back a similar Walther from Germany. It too was taken from a German officer. It's a bit different though. If I remember correctly it's a PPK. The slide goes the entire length of the barrel and it looks just like 007's gun!! 9mm too! I've often wondered the value of it, being a war relic and all.

My uncle has it now, but it'll be passed to me one day, it'll NEVER get sold. I remember shooting it with grandpa when I was little, might have been the first real gun that I shot.

Funny you mention this being why you like 007, I thought the same thing about my grandpa's gun!!

edit: I've got the bullets that my grandpa brought back with it too!! Like 4 old, brown, cardboard boxes. I think 50 rounds in each. And also a sealed plastic baggy of them, maybe 100 in it. I don't know if they were taken with the gun or obtained separately though. Funny the similarity huh!!
