House appraisal?

Recommended Posts

I really don't like being in a panic... but I'm getting there, quickly. The Ruger PC9 is up for sale. Besides that...

I am going to have to sell Mom and Dad's old house in Hendersonville. Does anyone here do appraisals, and what do they cost, typically? Standard 1960's era ranch, 3 bedroom, one bath, on an acre.

I would suggest you find a good realtor(by referral if possible).  They would have all of those contacts

We just bought a house in Cookeville and the appraisal was $450. I'm not sure if the price varies by area, but I'd imagine it wouldn't a whole lot.

Appraisals are typically $400-$500 these days.

I'd ask any realtor in the area you might know for a recommendation and look at the Appraisal Institute site or you can check the national registry for appraisers by location.

You can pm me if I can help. I've been an appraiser since before there was a license to do it.

There's a few that go as low as $250. $350 was my wife's guess. ( she is a administrating lending coordinator at a bank...but idk what that is....) if you are the one paying for it you can shop around.
