So I got a bipod that attaches to the sling swivel stud...only problem is the Saiga has a different stud design then normal rifles....anyone have any suggestions?

I mounted a cheap rail on the bottom hand grip of my ar. You can get a rail adapter kit for your bipod probably. It work pretty good. If you have a bayonet lug, there are some bipods/adapters for that too.

I wanted to put a vertical grip on my Saiga 7.62 but didn't want to fork over the cash to convert and use standard AK handguards with a rail on the bottom, so I ordered this accessory pack from Tapco, http://www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?id=b888c1a6-75b3-4a32-af71-919f8d8bd3a0

and used the two flat picatinney rails and screwed them on to the underside of the factory handguard. Worked great. In the future, I might move one of the rails to the side of the handguard to mount a light or something.
