Not sure if nodakspud.com stamps or mills, but it might be worth an email to find out.  I've seen positive reviews of other products they make.

Yeah, you can't just get a Norinco reciever seeing as how they've been banned for a WHILE. Not to mention they never imported in any lone recievers, just complete rifles.

Nodak Spud are stamped, very few companies out there do milled for an AK as it stands.

DCI (D.C. Industries) also makes excellent stamped recievers.

I have a ATM milled receiver on my 1960 Polish AK and it's a very good shooter.

I'm not sure of where you could buy  a milled receiver by itself and most magazine and trade periodical columnists i.e., Shotgun News , Gun List (now published as Gun Digest) concluded that the stamped receivers were more durable and no less accurate. Don't know if K-var is still in business or not , their products were always well thought through and very rugged.

Yes, K-Var is still in business. They only have some of the worst prices and the highest prices on shipping I have ever seen.

For a complete rifle, the Sig556R is the best option. ;)
