my one and only glock,as if you never seen one before

Not a fan of .40 but I AM a fan of that pistol.  I'm a G19 man myself and my nightstand pistol is a G19 that looks JUST LIKE that one.  Plastic is fantastic, something besides black is even mo'better.

I am a fan of pistol lights because holding a flashlight and a handgun at the same time just sucks.  THe strobe function (if yours is so equipped) is very handy.

Two thumbs up from me.  I'll be the first to admit, there's nothing particularly handsome about a Glock.  They don't have the soul other steel and wood guns do, but you can't give me nothin' but.  I'd take my Glock over anything made.  Period.

Very nice.

I'm not quite at Caster's pointof view yet, but...

Over the last few years I have come to believe that the Glock line of pistols are about the best alround pistol you can buy. For multi purpose guns, easlly cleaned and maintained, for me it's become one of my favorite guns.

Now lest you think me too strange...I must admit a certain fondness growing for the M&P line as well. I will not comment that one is better than the other, but the Shield 9 is pretty darn good. Wore it as my carry yesterday and was well pleased with it.

Must admit that I need a new and better holster for it though. It  kept rubbing on my hip when I sat.

I wish I got the 19 instead also ,as for having soul of steel, they do lack the craftsmanship and finish work of a real metal gun which I also prefer but these

Glocks are reliable and have LOTS of aftermarket stuff for them,so many gadgets !

Hey, we don't run around bragging about, or sit back admiring our framing hammers, chain saws or shovels, but when we need them we need them and don't want any crap from them.  They're there, every time.

I was a Glock hater for many years.  I was on the tupper-hater bandwagon for a long time.  Crow was not good eatin' but I did.  No matter who bad mouths a Glock, you'll know they're an idiot an unworthy of engaging in conversation if they ever say they won't do their job.  AND, at the end of the day, that's what I want from a self defense weapon.

One thing my OD green G19 has that yours doesn't is a beaver tail grip addition.  They're relatively cheap and very handy for my hands.  You should check them out.  You might like it.

AND, what kind of sights are you running?  That's a really long front sight.  They look good.

^^^This!  I was a Glock-hater for a long time myself.  I still like to get all cuddly with my shiny 1911's, mind ya, but this may be the best Glock-analogy I've heard.

OP: nice home protection implement!

Same here on the sights. I have green TG H-3 on my 19. Had them installed before I left the shop with it. Maybe not the best for everyone, but they work for me and my purposes.

Caster, if you have time, could you post a pic of your G19 with the added beavertail? I've heard of these, but never seen one. Might just be something I'd be interested in.

I have the same setup myself cepten a Streamlight TLR-1 rail light. Them TruGlo's sure do pop out at ya!

I wanted to shoot my G-19 at our annual IDPA night match this month but found out... It's illegal to shoot with a weapon mounted light and I didn't have a holster. Just received my new kydex holster from Comptac Monday, works great. Did a lot of searching and I guess no one makes a leather holster for a pistol w/ rail light.

Oh yea. I had a 3.5 lb. trigger kit installed and it's a world of difference pulling the trigger. I installed a different slide end plate on it from the Glock Store.

Now she's all dressed up and ready for a walk. The local LGS has plenty of PMC 9 mm. Life is good.

I added that Grip Force Adapter to my Gen 4 Glock 17. It works great, but it chewed up my hand pretty bad until I took a Dremel to it.

when it comes to a pistol that works, the glock is hard to beat.  i was issued my first glock in 1988, a g17.   i did not want it, i was a 1911 a1 and/or s&w model 19 guy.   but times were changing and i could not change the fact that i was getting a new issue gun.  first day on the range with it to learn the new gun and i was sold.  since then i have not looked back.  as matter of fact the only gun that i carry on and off duty is a glock.  i might buy and play around with other brands, but when it comes to work and personal protection it is a glock 23.

Now thats interesting looking, not sure why you would want it .....I sometimes think Glocks aftermarket market is too overloaded with

add on's  LOL  but hey if you like it,knock it out of the park bro

Looks good .

I like all my Glocks (11 for now) but I like the size of the compact ( 19 , 23 & 32 ) the best for an all around pistol . They are hard to beat for a tool that works .

That's great, Dennis. I don't go and search as much anymore. If I'm in a WM, I'll check, but that's about it for me.

I have a fair supply, but would like to have more in reserve.
