Is this possible? Would Beretta convert it for me? I know there is a "G" model and right now there is one on gun broker, but I want to see if I can do it myself first...

I carry a 92fs, and you didn't mention what model. But what I prefer to do when I carry is holster on safe, click off the safety, and continue on with my life. then when I need to unholster at home or in the car I click the safety on and then back off when it's in a holster or unloaded.

It can't be done. Have to get a G.
If you sell the FS, I doubt it will be on the market long in Clarksville.

You can't get the parts and DIY? Seems like it would be pretty easy.

Ooops. I didn't realize he didn't say it was a 92fs.

If its a model 92, he would have to replace the entire slide to go to a G.

Some of the other Beretta offerings can be converted by just changing out parts.

I'm a little confused on the parts here. I'm holding a M9 in my hand right now and have a 96G at home. Best I can tell the only difference (other than caliber obviously) is the safety having some sort of spring loaded mechanism in there for the G model. Is the slide actually machined different?

Well that's that then. Not really missing out on much. I don't notice any difference on my M9 vs my 96 other than having to manually move the decocker up to take the safety off after loading it.

From reading the beretta forums, you have to do have the slide milled to convert a 92fs to a 92g.

Hopefully OP will post what type of beretta he has.

Sorry.. I didn't see I didn't say which beretta I have. It's a 92fs made in Italy.

I had a Beretta Cougar and changed the Decocker/safety to a Decock-Only myself. It is really simple and only involves using a small punch a small hammer and small need-nose pliers. I didn not need to get any parts or anything, I just TOOK OUT PARTS. So its no money lost . Hopefully the 92 will be the same way . I just read about it on the Berettaforum.net and youtube.com .
