Still have a job, but time to look for a better one.

Time to spread my resume like fertilizer.  Several of us got passed up on a promotion at work for a person that has been there last then 4 months.

 

Heck, I didn't even get the benefit of an interview.  They guy that got promoted above us still doesn't know the job yet.

 

Not ranting on him, but the system that did the hiring.  I am planning to have a chat with ethics and or HR.

Good luck, I've been sending mine out for the past couple of months. I've been at my current position over a year and a half, for the past 6 months in a row have been overlooked for my promised raise with some BS excuse each time while the rest of the office gets raises and bonuses.

Got to be thankful I have something to pay the bills with though.

That's it.  Been here right at 10 years.  short drive.  Only moved positions once and it was a lateral move.  Easier work but same pay.  Got my yearly raises but they are not keeping up with the price of goods.

It is clear after this I am not going to advance here, so I am going to try to play this smart and not put my job in jeopardy while looking.
