The problem is how HUD will actively target zip codes and areas that they deem in need of "diversity".  It reeks to hight heaven and is the height of social engineering.

 

Still don't understand how they will "target" areas. Property owners can already offer their rentals under Section 8, if they're dumb enough to let nice ones get trashed.

 

The only thing I can think the fed could do to "encourage" more of it in "nice" areas is to make the payments disproportionally higher to those property owners. Right now there are max standard subsidies for the whole US, based on city and occupancy (as per number of bedrooms, looks like).

 

There are also tax incentives for building new housing that will be offered for the various public assistance programs (I live in one). I'm unclear if these are fed or state programs, or both, though.

 

Of course I wouldn't put it past them to bump up payments and tax incentives here and there for purposes of "equality" --  after all, it's only your and my money.

The explosion of suburbs in the past has, in part, been a direct result of people wanting to get away from unsavory elements.  Now the federal government will do everything they can to ensure that you can't get away.  They can't afford to do it, but then again, the average hard-working middle-class family will now find it even harder to afford living in an area free of scum depending on the extents this directive goes.

 

You are exactly right.  If we do try to get away by moving even further out, we get hit financially when we try to sell our existing home due to decreased property values.

I think another thing the liberals are not realizing is that many decent people will just move and move. It could be to states that are decent and leaving liberals ones. In their quest at kum bye ah we are all equal they are just fanning the flames of racism.

 

Imagine if someone busted their tail to get a very expensive house and raise their kids in a good neighborhood with both parents working and all the neighbors know and like each other ( for the most part) know each others kids and the area is safe.

 

Then Obama tries this crap and then all of a sudden a welfare mama with 5 kids move in, there is no pride in ownership the house looks like it smells ( a sh*thole) and then there starts being loud music, parties and crime goes up.

 

That does not sound like a way to promote racial harmony. Seems like a way for the gov to get white people to decide to become more racist ( and I am not advocating that) and minorities to feel more entitled and even harder to get off the gov dole.

 

I know there are people that are getting sick of this and the government might not stop until stopped. I am not saying that as any type of threat against the government, but basing it upon history ( revolutionary war, war between the states and so forth)

They have learned how to buy votes, keep people down and create poverty and crime and have the people doing it blame it on someone else.

 

They learned how to screw all of us with a d*ck the size of an elephant with no lube or kiss on the cheek.

 

Regarding what they've learned, you're correct. I still assert that they have not learned the lessons available in the cited article however. Those are lessons they choose to ignore because it would not benefit them.

Look at most cities going bankrupt. They are often high minority (50% or more) and elect democrat after democrat and hope something will change.

What this is actually about, is that plans are in the works to force nice areas to accept people that would normally be living in low income areas.

I was trying to find out something about the American Housing Survey (AHS) and came across a video of a top federal guy, I think worked for HUD or the census, can't recall which, but he basically said that.

If any of you here did the "voluntary" (lol and they won't take no for an answer as they'll harass you for months to get your participation) AHS then you know all the questions they ask. Things such as all your income, including interest, retirement, savings, mortgage payment, value of HU, how much you spend in repairs yearly, utility costs, etc., housing conditions, public transit and if you have access to bus, taxi, if you have bike lanes, your satisfaction with your housing unit, police protection on your area, your education, all kinds of stuff.

The AHS was a personal interview at your home by a census worker recorded on a laptop that took on average for an average middle class family, 45 minutes to an hour to do. Larger families and lower income respondents caused more questions to be opened up in the modules taking longer, like homes with multiple people living together because of low income for instance.

My parents just got the latest census survey and they say this one is required by law. It is the American Community Survey (ACS). It asks a crap ton of personal questions as well, but less than the AHS.

The AHS they do is much more intrusive than the ACS. Tons more questions on the AHS.

I believe the did this in Memphis a while back.  Studies done years later showed it just spread the crime over multiple hotspots instead of concentrating it into one area.  Sort of like cancer metastasizing.  Seems like it was mentioned in the book The Blindside?

Typical government policy for the past 70 or so year:  Forget lifingt up the bottom, give them everything and lower the top.  See it in education, housing, etc.  It's called socialism, folks.  We began it in FDRs third term, picked up steam with Johnson's "Great Society',  continued with Carter and Clinton.  And the other side saw how it got votes so they joined in too.
