Thompson Station / Williamson County Internet Providers

I'm interested in hearing from any of our residents of rural Williamson County around the Thompson Station area who are using high-speed internet.  What providers are out there other than Comcast?

I know that Charter provides service to Spring Hill and Thompson Station proper but we're going to be relocating to Williamson outside of the Thompson Station city limits (zoned as Thompson Station, however) and it seems like Comcast is the only one I can find that says they definitely offer service.  Wondering about Frontier or TDS and their fiber-optic offerings.

Recommendations?  Words of warning to stay away from anyone in particular?

Mind if I tag along on this? I've got Charter (about 1/2 mile south of the Comcast line) and my bill is ridiculous. I've been looking around also since they increase my bill almost monthly. I've got everything through them and I'm sitting around $190/mth. Yikes

Only thing I've come across cheaper is satellite. Very popular option around here.

Don't know much about Frontier but would avoid TDS at all costs - their Fiber is really just DSL service once you read into it.

Run away from TDS while laying down cover fire :)  They have yet to find a internet or telephone connection they couldn't mess up for weeks at a time.  And then try and lie to your face about it not being their problem.

That's disheartening about Charter.  I would love to ditch Comcast somehow but I'm starting to think I am stuck with them.  Maybe we'll just do a Business Class connection and use a satellite provider for TV.

No kidding?  Even the 50MB stuff they're selling now?   Equally disheartening.  I hate to think that Comcast is really the best option.

I switched to Comcast business last month, so far it seems like quite a different animal. Much better customer service, no bandwidth caps, no blocked ports or services. They do pitch you a bunch of "bundle" services such as their voip solution but it was pretty easy to just say no and get on with getting the internet set up. The list of supported modems is shorter but mine was compatible which saves me another $9 or something a month. The service itself was $10 or so more a month than my residential was AFTER the promotion ran out, but that is more than worth it for the bandwidth cap removal.
