Hvac help

If there are any hvac folks on here I need help. I decided to move my thermostat around the corner. Hooked up everything the same way it came off. Wrote the wiring down and took a picture of it! Now when I turn on my a/c the heat comes on. It is an electric furnace with a heat pump. Not sure what other info would help. Here is a picture of how it was hooked before and it is back the same way.

What kind of thermostat is it? Some of the newer digital models have several options to choose when programming. If you don't have the correct options selected, it will not work properly. There can be several heat pump options to choose from. That's just a quick thing to think about.

It is a newer thermostat but it never lost power so nothing changed on it.
Here is the after pic. I disconnected the black wire as it was loose when I disconnected everything else.Posted Image

Funny thing is that it is wired as a conventional system and not a heat pump system. I have two identical systems in this house and I checked the other t-stat to make sure the wiring was the same. The other t-stat is a different model though.

Not much help on wiring, but one issue I had with mine(among many) was a "standard" tstat and a newer on that had programming functions. Might need to check the program and upgrade the other tstat to match.

Problem solved! Bad t-stat. Went and bought a new one and all is getting cool now.
