Opinions on bushmaster acr

A guy is looking to trade an acr for a ar15 and a pistol. I've never seen any of these in person nor know someone who owns one. Is it superior then most basic ar15s or is it more of a hype.

the ACR is very adjustable, has a plastic feel to it. and recoils differently. it just depends what you want. we did not keep ours very long, the wife was not happy with it. can not remember for sure why

One reason I know of that it is ridiculously priced is the finish they used on it. Instead of the phosphate finish that Magpul used on the Masada they use a Nitride finish and forgo the chrome lined setup, thus increasin cost. I was excited to see that it was ORIGINALLY going to cost around $1500 then Bushmaster released their official statement saying that it would cost MSRP $2500-3000 and that PISSED alot of people off, myself included. For the money, you can have a SCAR 16S but you're trading for it, just keep in mind used they go for roughly 18-2100. :2cents:
