And finally brought my permit!!! Fingerprinted May 7, received Aug 13th 98 days......issue date shows the 5th, so I guess that puts them within their 90 days. Time to go to walmart!!!!!!

Well I've had a VA permit since I turned 21 (two and a half years ago, not exactly forever, haha), but since I moved here I had to get a TN permit but I went a little beyond the 6 month requirement to apply for a TN permit so I haven't been legally able to carry the past couple months.

My wife got hers today as well. Fingerprinted around May 15th. Issue date shows one week ago today.

She made her first Walmart-type expedition to church tonight. But they didn't have nachos!!!

Tomorrow...we pack.

Proud of her. 6 months ago, we had a heart-felt talk about her asking me to keep all of our guns locked up, even the SD ones. Afraid for the kids. She, herself scared to death of them.

Now, she is a permit-toting, strong-willed, confident gun owner that can outshoot me with her S&W 442. And mother to a son who now has 3 long-guns.

And a husband who is proud to share my home with a convert.

I'm telling you, if you have a reluctant spouse, send her to a QUALITY HCP course, taught by PROFESSIONALS. AND DO NOT ATTEND WITH HER!! SHE DOESN'T NEED TO LEARN THE BASICS FROM YOU! It will make all the difference.

Congrats... I just put mine in on the 28th of July so I have to continue to wait. I have a friend who bet me lunch I will have it before Sept 11th. I have a feeling I will be getting a free lunch...LOL
