Cabelas in Nashville?

I was told, by a well versed sportsman, that there is a Cabelas in Nashville. Ill be darned if I can find it. Is there a Cabelas in Nashville (Which would give me a reason to make many trips to Nashvile)? Is there plans to build a Cabelas in Nashville? Is there a rumor of plans to build a Cabelas in Nashville?

Nope...not that I've ever seen and not according to Cabella's website...maybe the person who said that was thinking of Bass Pro.

No Cabela's in TN but I believe they are building one just across the border in Bristol, VA (tri-cities).

Only big box like that in Nashville is Bass Pro.

Kinda wish there was an alternative to Bass Pro around here. Yes I know we have Academy and Dickies, but some new places to visit would be nice,

I buy a lot of stuff online from Cabella's...sort of hope they don't build in TN so they don't have to charge me sales tax (not that I don't self-report of course).

Cabelas came close to building a store in Nashville(Bellevue), about 5 years ago.  They wanted incentives to build, Metro Nashville drug their feet and Cabelas moved on.

 

Cabelas just opened a store in Louisville, Ky.

Also heard talk of possible construction near providence in mt juliet...this was at last zoning meeting that is. So it's as much hear say as word on the street

I think I remember something a while back about them wanting to come here. Don't know what happened. I've only been in one and it was in Nebraska. It was really nice and I'd love for one to come to TN. Even if it wasn't here in Nashville, I'd still travel just to check it out......and yes, buy something :)
