Ruger Gunsite Scout

I like the idea of one, but not sure if I'll pony up the dough.

I'm putting a LER scope on a Mosin. If I like the setup, I could definitely see a Ruger in my future.

Well, as much as I like the idea of a .308.  I think I can just use barnes 70gr TSX, and between that and my Remington 742 (30-06), I think I have it all covered.  -as long as I don't shoot too many rounds through that 742.

-still, it was a nice, small rifle that would be easy to tote, and the iron sights were actually really good.

I have one and love it. I am running a Leupold scout scope. If you buy one, pickp the Ruger plastic mags. The AI mags dotnt fit as tight

It is one of the rifles on my list, number 4 but on the list.

Love this rifle. Poly mags are a definite plus. The bolt is a little stiff, but I wouldn't call it sticky.

My brother used one in Africa on our plains game safari.

He killed so many springbok hunting meat for the camp that he named the rifle summer.

Get it? Summer, the end of spring.

Ok, it's funnier over a few gin and tonics.
