What if all of this is for nothing

I know there are many people who have spent a good portion of their time and money to making "preparations". Has anyone ever thought what happens if nothing bad ever happens and all the supplies and work was for nothing? These are some of the things I ponder....

sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

Perhaps being prepared will rub off on my children. I don't really expect to see something truly catastrophic in my lifetime, but I fear they will.

Also, I find the better prepared you are, the fewer emergencies you encounter. That, or else being prepared turns a dire emergency into a minor inconvenience.

I firmly believe that Murphy chooses the unprepared to strike out against. Lol

Chance favors the prepared mind.

What I don't understand, is why the gov. tells us to be 'prepared' and have a 3 day kit for emergencies, but I also heard that if we have more than a week's supply of food, then we are considered a 'domestic terrorist'. Has anyone else heard that? What gives? Just a few generations ago, that is how people lived their daily lives... by canning, growing their own food and making sure they could make it through the winter. Sounds more like common sense than terrorism. And why can FEMA stock up on ammo, but we can't stock up on anything w/o being labeled. Why does FEMA need ammo??

Yes I had heard that as well. I say F em. There are more and more patriots coming everyday. As a wise man once said "When the people fear the government there is tyranny. When the government fear the people there is liberty"
