And so it begins...

This is the end of the beginning.

Just like owning a house...this will always be a work in progress...or so it seems.

I bought a Stag Arms M4 back in August complete and ready to fire and I don't think I'll ever quit shopping for that little extra piece or furniture for it.

+1:up: Congrats and enjoy the build.

Aha! I was simply tired and didn't think to check the stock for the buffer.

Yes, my rampant stupidity bit me once again.

Anyway, once I found that everything fit together nicely. I'm very impressed with the fit and finish of Anvil Arms' parts...

Absolutely - and it matches the upper perfectly (finish-wise). I'm a real stickler for stuff 'matching' and am very pleased with how everything fit both mechanically and aesthetically.

Cool.

I see where the put a final layer of Teflon coat that makes it dark black and more resistant to scratching.

O well, I can always change out later, the point is getting one ASAP.

I have an email into them with some questions.

I have an email into them with some questions.

Anvil has a sub-forum on ARF.com where John (Anvil's owner) is updating folks on email status - since the election he's been averaging over 800 emails/day and is generally about 10-14 days behind replying to emails, so don't think he's ignoring you if you don't hear from him for a while.

I researched it for a while and basically found that everyone that had bought AA stuff was very impressed with it, so I decided to do it a little diff. Very happy with the result!

Cool, good to hear. The email/time of response thing...that is definitely par for the course since the Obamination occurred!

Hey, find a good spot and we'll meet and shoot it - I'll even supply the ammo.

I have orderd my Anvil Arms stripped lower, one of the buy it NOW ones, so I may have it some time next week, depends on how long they take to process my approved invoice. That was sent yesterday, have not gotten my confirmation yet.
