New Gun and Holster

KahrMan

Recommended Posts

Picked up another Kahr PM9 the other week and have been waiting on a  holster. Well it came in today.  Member Red Dirt turned me on the the D M Bullard Dual Carry.  It is a great holster.  Not that the kahr is heavy but you really just almost forget your carrying when using this holster.  I really like it.  Thanks for the suggestion Red Dirt.

Handled one of these last night at Bass Pro. Trying to find something that feels comfortable to my fiancee.

Do you have anything she likes to shoot? The Kahrs are among the softest-feeling 9mm mouseguns around when it comes to recoil, but they're still fairly stout due to their size and weight.  The Hogue Handall Jr. made my PM9 much more comfortable, if that helps.

I recently got an MK9, I am a Kahr fan! Really like your holster.

Check out D M Bullard. They make some real nice holsters.

I will also second what StPatrick said. The Houge feels great on the grip.

So far she's hung up on the Beretta Nano. We just need to find a range rental so she can fire one and see if she's still a fan.

What position do you carry this in KahrMan? Is it comfortable? I have a Kahr CM9 that I right pocket carry in a soft DeSantis. I'd like alternate carry positions, especially while driving.

I usually carry at about the 3:30 position.  That is the most comfortable position for me.

Has she checked out the Shield yet? If not, be sure to handle one before you make a decision. It feels great in the hand and is a smooth shooter.

I'll second trying a Shield. I love mine, so much I bought a second for my wife. I find it easy to hold and shoot. Felt recoil is absolutely amazing. And by that I mean very light. The lightest of any of the subcompacts, pocket, and mini 9s I've tried.

And for accuracy....wonderful. I'm an average shooter, and that's on a good day. On my last outing, at 15 yards, I literally fired out the X in the 10-ring. Maybe not great for some of you guys, but it impressed the hell outta me.

But by all means try shooting it first if you can. In my limited experience; it's been a love it or hate it kind of gun. Doesn't seem to be much common ground between the two feelings.
