Bat Sh*t crazy!!!

The title is a little misleadin', unless you're his aunt. Anyhoo...My sister let my 10 year old nephew spend his Summer vacation with his aunt and they've been runnin' all over the Mid West and West just seein' the sights and enjoyin' their selves and recently came back home to WS (I think it is). She woke up day before yesterday and found a damn bat asleep in her hair!  'Course she freaked right out :panic:  and the damn thang got away. Now, since James is already covered in skeeter bites and the fact that a bat's injuries to someone can hardly be detected, they all hafta get rabies shots. I think my sister said it would be 4-5 rounds of shots, unlike how it used to be, like 14 in the stomach, in the old days, that hurt like hell. Don't know what they're like, now but I'm sure James will tell me. They also hafta get the house checked out for a bat colony. F'd up way to end your Summer vacation, it is. :cry:

Don't know 'bout the pain of'm but with rabies you can't wait and see. By the time symptoms show up, it's too late and you will die and they may not show up for a year. Gotta do it. No choice.

I read last year that they had successfully tested an oral treatment for Rabies. Probably take 15 years to get past FDA though.
