Tula Ammo question?

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Times being what they are I bought 3 boxes of Tula ammo recently and took them out today to shoot in my Sig 250 SC. Up to this point I have never had any issues with the gun, unti now. Out of the 150 rounds fired,  I had 7 rounds that failed to fire. However, after waiting a sufficient time to ensure proper safety, I tried shooting the same rounds again and all 7 fired. I also had some Remington and Federal ammo that fired with no issues. I have read that some folks have light primer strike issues with the 250 but I'm hoping it was just the ammo. Of course I've shot Tula in my Glock 19 and never had an issue. Any thoughts?

thanks in advance,

Tula (and a few other foreign brands) is known to have "hard primers".  Sometimes they require a 2nd whack to ignite.

Gun known for light primer strikes coupled with ammo known for having hard primers.  A few light strikes just help you practice malfunction drills, I wouldn't sweat it too much. Tula is just fine for practice, bet its not your carry ammo.
