Good experience at CCA

Recommended Posts

Hey all. We have been in  TN for about two weeks now. And finnaly had some time today to check out coal creek armory. It was my first time at an indoor shooting range. And it was a realy good time. The employees were all friendly and did a good job of explaining the rules of the range. The store had a great selection of accesoris.

It was realy different shooting so close to other peolpe, being used to large outdoor facilities but it felt safe and other shooters were very curteous.

Ive read some thing s about CCA that didnt sound so good, so maybe i just caught them on a good day but i will definetly give them my business again.

One thing i would say is they could realy use some more lighting and better ventilation.

On another note. I had to have my fingerprints done for my new job and they sent me to Gunnys in maryville. the guy there said all amunition shot on the range had to be brass case . No steel cases.

what difference does that make? do they just want to keep the brass or are they trying to sell theyre more expensive brass stuff?

Just curios.

Yeah, reselling brass is one factor, but there's also the thing that most steel cased ammo also has steel jacketed bullets, and it's rougher on their range.

I took tactical handgun I through their affiliate training company a few weeks ago. I believe the instructor, Eric, was one of the new owners. He was very knowledgeable and approachable. Think teacher mentality, not gun store commando. I had a blast.

If thats the same Eric I am familiar with, he used to work at Frontier Firearms in Kingston, and he was the only reason I went in that store.  Ever since he left and went to CCA I havent been back in Frontier.  Very nice and knowlegable.
