What can you tell me about the range in Franklin?

Charlie Haffner Memorial Range? That is the only one I know of down here. Other than that its Nashville Armory for ranges. New place close to the Franklin AG center apparently, is a bow hunting shop.

I thought that there was one in Franklin that used to be owned by Uselton. Maybe I dreamed it.

didn't know it was back open, going to have to drive by and check it out

Last I heard it was for sale. Not sure if it has a new owner yet. Thread on here somewhere about that.

It was behind Whitt's BBQ next to the Toyota dealership. AFAIK, it's closed. I've heard that the property and range equipment were sold together, and I've heard they were sold separately, but don't know who to believe on that one.

If they sold together, it will likely re-open under new ownership in the same spot, but since that hasn't happened yet, I'm inclined to think the range equipment was sold to a second person who has probably already pulled it out and taken it to wherever he/she is setting up a range. That's just speculation on my part.

Personally, I'm disappointed that it's not the new home of GnL South.  :surrender:

New owner now. No exact reopen date, but another range is moving in. Apparently they have to gut the place at this point and start over since it's been empty for so long. Same building, so the range is still at around 15yds.

Yep. There going to have a shop in their too. More hunting stuff (fancy shotguns) and regular stock as well. Training built in somewhere.
Edit: I've got a membership sheet if anyone's interested too. PM your email to me and I'll send it vs posting it here. Edited by JHC77

My daughter and I stopped by today just to check it out. It's very close to my house. They are only open for the range and  ammo right now. The gas isn't turned on yet so there's no heat there or I would have stayed and shot some. Prices aren't too bad, certainly better than Ussleton's were. Unless the temp goes up I suggest waiting until they get the heat going before you visit.

Had to read up the archives on Uselton's closing. There aren't a lot of businesses involving guns that can fail in this environment, he was truly remarkable.

Checked it out.  It's pistol only.  Not intended to be a rifle range.  The gentleman in there was very friendly and very helpful.  I think they will certainly do better than the previous owner.

Have to look into those. I have a buddy who lives where we can shoot but between Christmas, sickness and the weather, it just hasn't happened yet.

Those would be good for getting some range time in during the workday for sure though.
