I'll be happier when Naifeh is being missed....

You know, I never saw Shaft nor Hayes in the Simpson's role. Just not my style.

But I did buy Hayes' first album Hot Buttered Soul when it first came out. Always one of my favorite albums. I ended up in Chicago at O'Haire talking to one of his best friends once. Hayes had just won some sort of award and somehow the topic came up. I think the guy was really surprised how much I knew about Hayes' music.

RIP.

But Hayes avoided eating the signature raccoon dish at the event. "He's got hands," Hayes explained to The Commercial Appeal newspaper at this year's event. "Coon's got hands."

When I think of Isaac, I picture him as the" Duke of New York" in Escape from New York. He drove a Cadallac, with chandeliers, hanging from the corners of the car. Now that's what I'm talkin bout!

With Bernie and Isaac gone, I'd be watching my back if I were Samuel L. Jackson...
