I see Morsi was dumped by Obama, kinda late in the game, since he kinda backed him

before this, but it looks like this is something the American media might stay away from

this story, or at least minimalize it to oblivion.

Been watching for days, but of course haven't seen much mention of the anti-Mericun sentiments from the media, thanks for that.

My take, we're eventually gonna have to lower the boom on somebody to keep the Suez Canal open.

Obama said he would improve US image around the world. Said Bush was at fault for bad US image and this was why terrorist attached us on 911. :lies:

I think this just shows how much trouble we are in.

This is such a huge deal, and no one cares.  Obama is on the wrong side of this one again.  As if it makes a difference that an Islamic extremist was freely elected or not.  Morsi was still a self admitted enemy of everything the west stands for, yet Obama celebrated his election.  Well, now the world realizes that Morsi was just as bad as we've always assumed him to be, he is out of power, and a secular organization once again has control of the reins.... yet the White House would have us believe this is a bad thing?  Seems to me THESE are the folks we should have been backing all along.

Obama should have egg all over his face, yet top new is something about a Kardashian.  At what point do the liberals come out and admit that Obama is in way over his head?  Geez, we can't go one week without an Obama scandal and/or disaster.  When Bush stepped on his crank the media wouldn't shut up about it..... now... crickets from the media.

I thought, just judging by those pictures, that Obama will eat a lot of crow over this by his actions, and those

muslim brotherhood types may have bitten off too big a bite. It appears the ruled want to have a little freedom.

Ironic, isn't it?

The dictator they had before was better than the brotherhood. Now that they have had that taste of strict

muslim rule, don't you think it would be funny if they suddenly realized how they have been had and became

an ally of Israel?

Yeh, we have to do something serious about this banana republic dictator we have, also. 2014 needs to have this

infused in it, with the senate in mind, and impeachment hearings ASAP.

BTW, Dan, I care a lot and I know you do. This needs to get out so everyone sees the fraud Obama is. I'll bet

Netanyahu is smiling a little right now. He needed something to go his way, being surrounded by the brotherhood.

I think back to many of the interviews with Egyptians I listened to in the weeks before Morsi was elected.  There was a common thread with many of the folks in the rural areas that did not support him.  They similarly did not support the leftovers from Mubarak's cronies, but their concern was that if they elected another Mubarak they would be dealing with the same corruption and a stale economy.  However, with Morsi they were concerned that if he came to power they would never be able to remove him democratically because Morsi would illegally cling to power.

These people get it.  They know the deal when it comes to the ideological fruitcakes.  Morsi was one of them, and if he had stayed in power we would have watched a much better armed and more strategically dangerous enemy emerge from that area of the world.  Maybe things won't be much better with the back and forth that will define the next few years of Egypts political history, but it won't be any worse than what was on the horizon.

It isn't as if I view this as a romantic victory for the future of Egypt.  I know Arab culture well enough to know that there is no hope for that region of the world (and yes, they aren't technically Arabs, but their culture is the same as every other Arab country I've been to).  But the difference is that while the secular movement headed by the armed forces is not our admitted enemy, Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood were.  I'd rather take my chances with a maybe ally/enemy than a definite enemy.  And I wouldn't even classify the upper echelons of Egyptian officers as "maybe".  They all worked for Mubarak and most of them had rapport with our own military through the aid and joint training exercises we do with them.  I would reason to bet there isn't one officer involved in this coup who hasn't had a professional relationship with our military at some point in time.  The exact opposite is true for Morsi and his cronies.  I'm sure that half the people Morsi hangs out with are on the CIA's kinetic targeting list.

I agree, this is big stuff. Thanks for posting it 6.8.  I really liked the pictures.   The signs are great; especially the "hyprocacy" one.

I'm continually amazed at the ineptitude and ignorance of our current (...and former, for that matter...) administration(s) with regard to anything diplomatic.   On balance, i dont like most diplomatic operatives; because it's most always about picking our pocket and passing out money to our enemies; but this bunch seems to be stunningly stupid.  From Obama, to Susan Rice, to Hillary, to Kerry; they seem to drawn to the wrong decision no matter what.  I'm beginning to believe that it is "Providential Blindness"...

That being said, im like some others here; the Egypt thing is a big deal.   Egypt is a very important part of the middle east; strategically (...location and Suez Canal....) and economically (...they feed lots of other folks nearby...).  They are also a relatively educated people (...unlike lots of other arab countries we could name...) with a history of secular government.   The last thing we (...and they...) needed wuz a Muslum Brotherhood operative as its leader; and it looks like the military figured that out pretty quickly.   This one will be interestin to watch.

One of the things we need to think about here in this country is that the Muslum Brotherhood wuz birthed and gained it's teeth in Egypt; but leaders right up to the Morsi kept it in check; and maintained some semblance of a "secular government"; abeit crooked or not.  It's interestin that the egyptian army, with the help of the egyptian people appear to be rebelling against Muslum Brotherhood thing.  Could it be that they have seen and experienced enough in this short time to understand the real deal with the Muslum Brotherhood version of the world?.

Maybe we need to import a bit of the Muslum Brotherhood brand of government to selected locations in the sourlands so they could get the idea too.   Since Obama seems to have a perchant for the "Brotherhood"; why dont we try it in Chicago and some other selected locations around the country that believe the Obama version of the truth??.  We can watch and see how it works out for them.   Maybe a little dose of that muslum justice and a touch of gang rape and public beatings and beheadings without benefit of trial might clear the minds of those who like this stuff.

Leroy, I'm not convinced it isn't intentional. This administration praised the Arab Spring. It has embraced the muslim

ideals in so many ways. Our President wants us to believe he is a Christian, but can't distinguish any better than a

muslim chant(noise) as the most pleasing sound, can't pronounce "Corpsman" properly, or won't. It could be discounted

as ineptitude, but I think it is intentional, or at least, some of it.

He most certainly is inept, as to his oath of office. That's a hindrance to his personal, preferred duty.

I was accused as not being a patriot for some of my personal views about what is happening in this country, by a friend

during an argument, or, at least I took it that way, and it still bothers me that I was misunderstood, or not allowed to make

my case because he wouldn't let anything get in the way of his view. I, and many others have seen this coming for a

long time, before Obama was elected, not only because of a president, but as a political movement fueled by power

hungry progressives/statists forcing their agenda with a healthy dose of lies to diffuse the public and make them think

all is or will be well. It's been going on for over a hundred years, now, and the State is accumulating such power, all

along the way, by doing it in the name of protecting us from our perceived enemies, some of which may or may not even

be an enemy, any more. Given that this unrest in Egypt is now out of the bag, I wonder how many more will snap out of it

and realize how many other things we are being kept from knowing. And for anyone still believing the Clintons were okay,

they were their foundation was funded mostly by the non-Israeli countries in the region, and their politics reeks of the

same divisiveness that the current administration espouses.

This woman, Ann Patterson, an ambassador, whose actions were directed by Hillary Clinton, and her boss, Obama, caused

a lot of damage by encouraging Morsi, in the beginning, and the continual snubbing of Netanyahu when assistance was

requested, Hell, outright ignoring him about Israel's security, is only one more symptom showing the disease in our

government. I love my country, but I sure don't like this government at all, if this is the kind of leadership it has in store

for us. What really worries me is the knowledge our Soldiers should have knowing they're not going to be backed up,

unless it is politically expedient. Man, that really defines a country when it sticks it's collective finger in the wind.

Henry Kissinger said once that a country doesn't have friends, only interests. How are our interests being served when

our administration is serving someone else's interests? We have too much evil among us, leading us down a path, using

national security as a cover to keep us from knowing what is happening, so much of the time. Our current administration's

foreign policy is but one example. We only knew tidbits about the Arab Spring. Well, some of us knew better. Republicans

and Democrats alike were behind this, also, but under this administration's leadership. Something needs to change.

We should be electing people to lead our country, not because of the color of their skin, or their failed ideology,

but because of the ideology found in the U.S. Constitution, and until the time we get back to this we will be a banana

republic, or, at worst, a dictatorship waiting to happen. We are heading down the road the Germans did, several decades

back.

I love my country. I see it slipping away, though. Maybe the Egyptians will show us our reason for existence. Sometimes

messages come from strange, uncomfortable events. At worst, it will start a war based on peudo-religious ideology and

will drag a lot of countries in who would rather sit it out.

Only so much of this can be because of ineptitude. The rest is evil.

There's the succinct pith of the matter. I haven't called BHO the Antichrist purely in jest.

Just because I'm agnostic doesn't mean I don't believe that evil exists, and it has always manifested itself most effectively through political power -- history is replete with the documentation. There's no reason our short experiment will be immune.

Military has kicked out brotherhood. Rounding them up as I type. Now what does fearless leader do?

If it's a coup, we are to cut aid. $1.3 billion to the military. Judging by the pics, we would be on the wrong side again. Obama can just ignore the law, we will look the other way. :shake:  Don't get me wrong. At this point I think the military is the best answer. I am just tired of all the Obama administrators screw ups and coverups. :-\ .

The military has come out and said it doesn't wish to govern, but that the people do that. A good sign if true.

also, the military has a vested interest in keeping the brotherhood out of the government if some sources are true.

There are reports misleading what is going on by our own media. What else could one expect? I suspect they are

tripping over themselves trying to provide cover for this administration and not much else.

I read somewhere that the muslim brotherhood was banned from Egypt in 1954. Interesting. Of course, many people

have no idea how long the brotherhood has been around.

More should learn about them, for they are taking over our government.

From

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_Brotherhood_in_Egypt

Founded in Egypt by Hassan al-Banna in March 1928, the group spread to other Muslim countries but has its largest, or one of its largest, organizations in Egypt despite a succession of government crackdowns in 1948, 1954, 1965 after plots, or alleged plots, of assassination and overthrow were uncovered.
